About
This blog is an additional feature of our main website, Bid4Jeeps, located on the domain of Yabexe.com. Because Bid4Jeeps is owned and maintained by Yabexe.com, many functions for our site (including our email system) may be seen with a Yabexe.com extension and you should “whitelist” yabexe.com in your email program to ensure notification emails of your sales, or winning bids reach you without delay.
Once we started developing the auction part of the website, we then thought, Why not include the ability to post items free, like Craigslist, and even have a recycle section, like Freecycle? Once we got started on those we decided to add an area for people to seek or offer business services because of the economy affecting so many people. So, we added a Freelance area. The someone mentioned a blog. Someone else thought a forum would be a good idea.
What began as a project we expected to have completed in about a month turned into 8+ months of programming hurdles to overcome. During that time, we were in beta mode, but left the ability for people to register, if they stumbled across our main site. That allowed us to see what some people will do, who are nothing more than spam and scam artists, so we added features and included prerequisites that defeated those individuals. The bad members were removed permanently. We were also able to discover bugs and faults through actual use, that had to be corrected. What we accomplished is what you see today – an inexpensive and functional website for honest individuals who are looking for a website where they can offer or find items and services amongst other honest individuals.
At Bid4Jeeps our customers are top priority!
Our mission is to provide a technically solid medium for our members to promote and sell their products and services. Providing these services at a cost the end user can afford and passing those savings onto buyers. Thus allowing both the seller and the buyer a better shopping experience in a secure venue.
The Business Concept
The Internet is a very volatile and competitive business. We have seen a few auctions sites running free services. We have also seen them die – and they die quickly, or are abandoned. To believe all services for free could be done indefinitely is a mistake made by inexperienced website administrators that do not intend to promote and advertise the website. In reality, they hope to achieve a large membership base and then activate fees similar to eBay. Promotion and advertising are expensive expenditures that must be done in order for a website to succeed and those websites that don’t promote have been doomed from their conception.
To ensure we survive, Bid4Jeeps did not begin as a totally free service. We put a great deal of thought into what services we could provide for free, what areas fees should be charged, and what the lowest cost could be that would allow us to use the proceeds from our service fees to advertise and build our brand name without putting a financial burden on our members.
We will always strive to continue providing a low cost alternative to the biggest online auction site (and we mentioned them previously). We will always include the one thing that site fails to do… We will treat the smallest seller with the same respect and advantages given to the largest seller. In fact, our website is geared toward those small sellers who have been driven away from eBay because of the fees and disadvantage they have imposed on the weekend warrior looking to make a few dollars from their jeep parts, or an old attic/garage item.
Goals
1 Year
- Establish a superior auction site using feedback from our buyers and sellers.
- Establish an extensive membership base of both buyers and sellers in the Jeep community.
- Establish an extensive product base to attract new members to Bid4Jeeps.
- Establish an auction site with cutting edge technology and constant upgrades as available.
5 Year
- Established as THE BEST Jeep vehicle and parts auction website.
- Established name recognition throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Unlike auction sites that invite users around the world and the scams that result, Bid4Jeeps is concentrating on the U.S. and Canada marketplace. Doing this allows for better monitoring, more security, verifying our membership, and a more localized, friendly community. We don’t know about you and it may not be politically correct, but we never liked ordering something on feeBay, only to find out later the seller was based in Hong Kong!
Bid4Jeeps has returned to the fundamentals of allowing users a choice in payment options. The auction can utilize checks, cash, money orders, credit cards, Google Checkout, and yes, PayPal, for transactions between buyers and sellers. We even have a “Swap” option for you Jeep enthusiasts looking to trade! The processing options are chosen by the seller at the time of listing. We have included the options of both PayPal and Google Checkout as processors of instant online payment exchanges on Bid4Jeeps because a faster transaction completion can take place using online processing services and they do offer fraud protection of their own. All other payment methods are conducted offline. Using online payment processors (PP & GC) options requires you to have an account with those processors. For more information on creating an account with Paypal or Google Checkout please visit our FAQ page.

We have the best software installed to make buying and selling simple, honest, and enjoyable.
The way it used to be!
We will continue to upgrade our technology to provide you with more than we have now, like:
Anti-Sniping Technology:
- For the buyer, this means no more losing an auction at the last second because of automated systems or those with faster computer connections bidding against you.
- For the seller, your auction will not end for an amount you believe could have been better if more time was given to a slower bidder. Your auction will not end until 2 minutes after the last bid!!
256-bit Encryption
When you submit personal information it is encrypted through a certified SSL provider we have installed from GoDaddy, a leading name in the website business. Your information is safe with us!
Online Support
Though we are not always available due to other commitments (or need for sleep), when someone is available you will be able to contact us through our private support chat feature. When someone is online the green “Online Support” banner, located on the right side of the Home page will indicate the status of support available. You don’t see that offered on feeBay!
Everyone Starts Fresh!
No importing of feedback from feeBay. Too many sites are offering a head start to seasoned people and to be frank, we have little faith in the feeBay feedback system. If you are a great seller or buyer, it will quickly be evident here. It’s a level playing field which means everyone has the same opportunities to compete when selling or bidding. Trust starts here!
Deadbeat Bidders Out:
We have a “1 Strike and Out!” Policy. When a bidder becomes a deadbeat and refuses to pay, we remove them.
Deadbeat Seller Blocking
This “1 Strike and Out!” applies to sellers, as well. If it is determined that they have stolen funds from a buyer and don’t answer our inquiries toward resolution, they are out – permanently. In fact, unlike eBay, we won’t hesitate to assist law enforcement if the complaint is criminal.
No Shills
We will know if a user attempts to create a second account. We receive notification through our system if a buyer is performing suspicious activity with the same seller, such as many bids on a particular sellers items with a low percentage of wins. This often indicates a friend or relative is bidding in order to run up the price of the item. We monitor them when notification is received and will take action if evidence of our investigation indicates our suspicions are founded.
No Freemail Accounts
Free email accounts are known to be used by scammers (gmail will never be allowed, for example) and for your own computer safety you should never use one. Viruses and trojans are often delivered through security lapses on free email programs. Do Not register with a free email account! Currently, we have numerous free email networks blocked. New ones pop up, but as we become aware of them they are removed. Those who registered with them are removed, as well. If you are registered with a free email account, please change it to your primary now! We would hate to lose you.
We are confident that you will find Bid4Jeeps a far more enjoyable and profitable experience than with feeBay!

Bid4Jeeps was developed for Jeep enthusiasts to sell, buy, trade, and freelance on a website without charge for listings. It combines eBay, Craigslist, and Freecycle type platforms into one site.
It's a Jeep thing with more than Jeep things.
